Things I'm ABSOLUTELY using in my classroom this year....

Are you counting down yet until pre-planning begins? I return 3 weeks from Monday! (And I still haven't told you what I'm teaching yet and some other absolutely WILD news about the upcoming school year... just wait til you hear this!)

I'm starting to get some ideas together and have put together a list of some absolute non-negotiables for my classroom this year...

• MY STANDING DESK: I shared this last school year and I swear by it. Do I sit at my regular desk? 100%. But this works for not only those times when you just don't want to sit, but also as a podium for instruction. The best part? It's has wheels! Click to get the details!
• MY LAPTOP BACKPACK: Two shoulders. Tons of pockets. Two large cup holders. Best teacher bag I've ever used. Oh and it's great for travel too! Read more here!​
• MY FAVORITE WALL DECOR: You've heard me go on and on about this tapestry. So it has to live on my favorite things list! Here it is!
• SIMPLE FIRST DAY SHIRT: You have plenty of options for these! If you're changing grade levels or stepping into a new role, you might need a new shirt! I personally don't like the ones that go over the top with design so I love these! Take a peek! ​
• PORTABLE SPEAKER: This year I'm planning to rely on audio cues for transitions, work time, etc. So I'm 100% including a portable speaker so I can play pre-set playlists from my phone (this is going to be the route you need to take if your school devices limit access to certain music platforms like mine does!) Here's a great option for both school and home!
• DOCUMENT CAMERA: I didn't use one of these last year and wish I had. Teaching with tech is cool and all but sometimes you JUST need to show the entire class something on paper (How retro, right?) Here's an option with a coupon attached!
